Connected2Fiber Helps Vyve Broadband Serve The Underserved

Connected2Fiber’s market participation capabilities will allow Vyve to provide critical broadband services to markets and locations often overlooked

BOSTON — DECEMBER 1, 2020Connected2Fiber, the location engagement platform for network buyers and sellers, announced today that Vyve Broadband, a communications services provider primarily serving rural and underserved communities, has deployed Connected2Fiber’s The Connected World platform to automate identification of Vyve’s total addressable market of serviceable buildings across the company’s unique rural footprint and communication of that coverage to its network partners. Specifically, Vyve will use The Connected World’s near-net analysis and market participation capabilities to develop insight into previously unknown buildings and customer opportunities that are serviceable by the company, identify new network leasing partnerships, and automate communication of their serviceable locations to their industry partners.

“Connected2Fiber allows for easy identifiation of all the locations and enterprises Vyve currently services as well as those we could potentially service,” said Diane Quennoz, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Vyve. “Our passion at Vyve is bringing the fastest speeds and best service to rural communities across the country. Ultimately, the information gained from Connected2Fiber’s platform and its application set will help further automate this process and assist in the development of our network routes.”

The automated capture of near-net buildings results in more potential revenue – as those locations can be leveraged by sales to communicate network coverage to leasing partners as well as to sell into those buildings directly. Once The Connected World platform identifies all near-net buildings for a network provider, those locations are stored along with on-net buildings in a personalized instance within the platform to be leveraged for wholesale and direct selling opportunities.

“Vyve came to us with the stated goal of better serving their communities with vital broadband and other communications services,” added Robert Kenney, Chief Revenue Officer at Connected2Fiber. “And the communities they serve are indeed some of the most broadband bereft in the US. You combine this fact with the realities of a global pandemic and the critical importance of having high-speed connectivity during this time, and their mission takes on that much more importance. The unique set of location-based intelligence and automation services built into The Connected World platform will allow Vyve to focus on providing critical connectivity services to those who need it right now.”

“Our continued partnership with Connected2Fiber is going to help our organization further identify ways to lease out our networks as well as identify new serviceable building opportunities,” commented Ed Butler, Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales at Vyve. “It will also provide further insight into the businesses in the communities that we serve and help Vyve continue to offer superior internet service at the lowest possible price.”

Internet services, Commercial Services growth and Customer Service Improvements for

Mega Broadband Investments, LLC announced today that  they will be uniting their portfolio of rural broadband companies, Eagle Broadband, Vyve Broadband, and Northland Communications under the Vyve(R) Broadband name beginning in the spring of 2020.

The unification and rebrand is part of the multi-million-dollar capital investment that is being made to upgrade the rural cable infrastructures to close the digital divide, capture high-speed data penetration and accommodate commercial services growth. Vyve Broadband Will Credit Impacted Customers for Weather-Related Service Outage

Vyve Broadband Will Credit Impacted Customers for Weather-Related Service Outage

Local provider puts customer first by proactively refunding downtime and replacing equipment in wake of recent storms

After a week of dangerous weather and severe flooding, Vyve Broadband announced it will proactively issue credits to all impacted customers in the greater Fort Gibson area, including Wagoner and Okay, for time spent without Vyve services. In addition to the credits, any customer whose Vyve equipment was damaged due to flooding or power surges will receive replacement equipment.

The news comes as a relief to impacted subscribers in the area who were without Vyve Internet, TV and Phone services for nearly a week after Vyve’s network hub in Fort Gibson was immersed in twelve feet of water. Vyve’s standard company policy holds the customer (and their home insurance) responsible for equipment damage as a result of acts of God; however, Vyve is waiving the policy and joining the Fort Gibson community to do whatever is possible to help support restoration efforts.

“This will result in a significant financial cost to Vyve, but it’s most important to us that we fulfill our promise to be good community partners. We’re committed to the Fort Gibson area and that goes beyond the financials,” said Jeffrey DeMond, President and CEO at Vyve.

Though customers experienced prolonged outages, what they may not know is the herculean task it was for Vyve to restore services as quickly as it did. With their network hub completely submerged, Vyve’s team waded through chest-deep water to save as much equipment as possible, relocating the recovered gear by boat.

“We were able to set up a temporary location to get our network up and running,” said VP of Operations and Local Manager, Ken Jameson. “Video services came back up Wednesday morning and Internet services started coming back online Wednesday evening. It was really important to us that we get our customers connected again and the team worked tirelessly this past week to make that happen.”

Any Vyve customers with damaged equipment or questions about credits are encouraged to call 855-LUV-VYVE

Vyve Broadband Announces Launch of 200 Megabit-per-second Broadband Service in Torrington

‘Vyve 200’ Affirms Company’s Commitment to Broadband Adoption in Rural Markets, Increases Business Speeds to 250 Megabits-per-second

Vyve Broadband’s mission is to provide rural communities with world-class broadband Internet service that levels the playing field. Today, Vyve has taken the next step in that mission with the launch of 200 Mbps Internet service to residential customers in the Torrington market.

The local Vyve team recently completed successful testing of 200 Mbps service, and it is now available to local residents in Torrington, which increases their fastest Internet speeds by four times. Residents with multiple connected devices such as smartphones, tablets, computers, TVs and gaming systems will be able to run their devices concurrently.

Local businesses will also experience a significant boost in their Internet capabilities, with the addition of a blazing fast 250 Mbps Internet service. By offering the fastest Internet speed in the area, Vyve serves as a partner to businesses advancing the Torrington economy.

“We are excited to add Torrington to our growing list of 200 Mbps markets,” said Jeffrey DeMond, chief executive officer for Vyve Broadband. “‘Vyve 200’ will be a key product for certain residential customers who have unique needs, such as people who work from home or those using graphics-heavy gaming and visual design software. Now they will have the bandwidth they need to be connected.”

“It’s clear that the online technology, information and entertainment landscape is evolving on an almost daily basis. What’s incredibly fast today will be the norm tomorrow,” DeMond says. “Vyve is building the network now that our customers will want and demand in the future. We’re committed to long-term relationships with our customers, and part of that commitment is looking not only at their current needs, but what their needs will be several years down the road.”

This upgraded service represents another milestone in the ongoing drive by Vyve to provide cutting-edge broadband speeds in rural markets that have traditionally lagged behind in technology offerings. Vyve investments since the company launched in late 2013 have more than doubled the average speed for existing customers. Vyve is already offering ‘Vyve Gig’ (1,000 Megabits) in most markets and continuing to test in many more.

Residential customers who are interested in ‘Vyve 200’ service, or businesses interested in upgrading to 250 Mbps service can call 1-855-FOR-VYVE.

VYVE BROADBAND ISSUING CREDIT TO TENNESSEE CUSTOMERS

The Internet is a globally interconnected group of separate networks, of which Vyve Broadband’s network is one. These networks are connected to each other and the greater Internet by many different intermediate fiber providers.

Yesterday, one of Vyve Broadband’s intermediate fiber providers, Windstream Communications, suffered a significant fiber cut in Kentucky on a fiber route provided to Vyve and used to serve our customers in Tennessee. While Vyve’s network was not the source of this outage, Vyve’s Tennessee operations and all of its customers, both residential and commercial, were without service for approximately 15 hours.

Although Vyve has gone to great lengths to connect its Tennessee network to the global Internet using secure, diverse and redundant facilities, there are a few bottleneck points where facilities converge. Yesterday’s fiber cut unfortunately occurred at one of those bottleneck points. This is totally unacceptable, and Vyve is actively working to eliminate such bottlenecks and minimize the risk of futur outages. In the meantime, we will be issuing a $10 bill credit to everyone who was impacted and want our friends and loyal customers to know we share their pain and fully understand the implications of being without service for so long. Please accept our deepest apology for the inconvenience this incident has caused.

‘Vyve 200’ and XSTREAM TV Launch Affirm Company’s Commitment to Broadband Adoption in Rural Markets

Vyve Broadband’s mission is to level the playing field by providing rural communities with access to the same world-class broadband services typically found in big cities across the country. Today, Vyve has taken the next step in that mission with the launch of 200 Megabit-per-second Internet service and an upgraded all-digital HD TV platform to customers in DeQueen, Arkansas, an offering unavailable from any other provider in the area.

The local Vyve team completed successful testing of 200 Mbps service, and it is now available to local residents and businesses in DeQueen. The boost to ‘Vyve 200’ doubles Vyve’s previous Internet speed offerings in the area. Residents with multiple connected devices such as smartphones, security cameras, video doorbells, and gaming systems will be able to run their devices concurrently.

Vyve also announced upgrades to their television offering, having completed a conversion to move from analog service to an all-digital HD TV platform. Beyond vastly improved picture quality and over 150 available HD channels, the upgrade introduces Vyve XSTREAM TV to the market, which integrates Vyve’s live TV lineup with access to streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube into its user interface (powered by Vyve Internet, of course).

“We’re thrilled to be able to bring even faster Internet speeds and Vyve XSTREAM TV service to the DeQueen community,” said Dave Harwood, General Manager for Vyve across West Arkansas. “As folks continue to fill their homes with WiFi devices and their time with streaming video, we want them to know Vyve has the solutions to power their homes. From delivering the fastest Internet speeds at the most affordable prices in town to entertainment platforms like XSTREAM TV that make watching what you want more seamless than ever, we’ve got you covered.”

These upgraded services represent another milestone in the ongoing drive by Vyve to provide cutting-edge technology in rural markets that have traditionally lagged behind.

“It’s clear that the online technology, information and entertainment landscape is evolving on an almost daily basis. What’s incredibly fast today will be the norm tomorrow,” said Jeffrey DeMond, Vyve Chief Executive Officer. “Vyve is building the network now that our customers will want and demand in the future. We’re committed to long-term relationships with our customers, and part of that commitment is looking not only at their current needs, but what their needs will be several years down the road.”

Customers who are interested in ‘Vyve 200’ and XSTREAM TV service are encouraged to call 1-855-FOR-VYVE.
