Atchison County Community High School senior running back Trystin Myers was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Tigers’ 56-12 win over Oskaloosa Friday night.

Myers led the Tigers to victory by running for 160 yards and four touchdowns on four carries. He also had a 73-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Smith ran for 70 yards on 9 carries and scored two touchdowns, one on a 23-yard run and another on a 16-yard run.

Brantley County offensive line was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for their outstanding play in the Herons’ 34-16 win over Charlton County Friday night.

Tackles Josh Strickland and Noah Jones, guards Patrick Williams, Jaylen Daniels and Cameron Musgrove, center Will Gibson and tight ends Garrin Knox and Cam Allen helped the Blue Herons rush for 307 yards and control the clock for 34:18 of 48 minutes without punting. It was Brantley’s second victory in history against a ranked opponent, first since beating Charlton in 2016.

Turner was a two-position threat at wide receiver and running back this week. He rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on eight carries and accounted for 135 receiving yards on only four receptions.

Pryor junior quarterback Trapper Gilstrap was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Tigers’ 13-41 loss to Collinsville Thursday night.

Gilstrap completed 16 of 19 passes for 122 yards, including a touchdown pass and 5-yard touchdown run. He completed 13 consecutive passes, highlighting Pryor’s two TD drives.

Ware County sophomore running back Brandon Mills was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Gators’ 35-6 win over South Effingham Friday night.

Friday Night Vyve, sponsored by Vyve Broadband, recognizes exceptional performances from players on high school teams in Vyve markets each week. Mills had seven carries for a career-high 132 yards and a touchdown. Three of his longest runs were for 32, 41 and 47 yards each.
